Taco Night

At our church, we believe that the church is supposed to give back to the community, not take from it. As a result, we do not do fundraisers and ask the community to support our church.  We try to offer support to the community. Recently, budgets for education have been slashed. We are trying to do what we can to keep these cuts from cutting so deep. Today, from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. we will be serving soft shell and hard shell tacos, Mexican-style rice, desserts and drinks all for $1 each.  The event will be held in the cafeteria. Our goal is to raise more than $5000 for our high school.

One of the side benefits of an event like this is the community involvement to support the school. Our local Taco bell has donated around 3200 taco shells. The Atlantic Stand on the boardwalk has donated several hundred dollars worth of items.  Showell Fire Department allowed us to use their facility to prep some of the food and have access to their walk-in refrigerator.  Other churches in the Berlin Area Ministries United (BAMU) have partnered with us to make this event successful.

This is going to be HUGE!!
