Marley and Me

We watched Marley and Me with some friends the other night.  It seemed to me like an attempt at a modern day Old Yeller.  It was a story of the struggle of a man searching for significance and wanting to make a contribution with his life. I appreciate that theme in the movie and it was portrayed well. Apparently, it’s based upon a true story.  It was a cute movie with some humorous parts. Nothing much more to say about it. Some people loved it, I wasn’t impressed, but watching it wasn’t a waste of my life either.
