Kids and Doorstops

As a kid, I remember annoying my parents with the springy doorstops. I think it’s the sound they make. I’ve never heard another sound in the world quite like it. I’m surprised you don’t hear the sound in songs on the radio because everyone loves making that noise.  I think one reaches a certain age when the sound is no longer amusing. Rather, it causes the muscles in the back of your neck to tense up. Thankfully, I’m not quite there yet because the enjoyment of springy doorstops is passed down from generation to generation.
