Sunday Recap for July 11, 2010

Today was a great time together at SonRise West OC.  We had a guest speaker who is a missionary in the Middle East. She told us of some great things that God is doing in the country in which she is working.

In my opinion, the most powerful part of her presentation was when she talked about the point in her life when she realized that God uses us wherever he places us and it doesn’t have to be in a foreign country. But, it also doesn’t take a “super-Christian” to be a missionary, simply a person who wants to know God and make him known.  Each of us have differing abilities and gifting, but God uses us to impact the places he plants us. We simply need to open our eyes to the world around us, and open our hearts to his leading.

The audio should be available in a couple of days here.
